Debbie Hendricks

July 30, 1954 — September 19, 2018

Mrs. Debbie Pearson Hendricks was born on July 30, 1954, in Greenville, South Carolina. She was the seventh of nine children born to the late Willie James and Rosemary Pearson. She joined Mountain View Holiness Church at an early age and later joined Vision of Hope Ministries. She received her education in the Greenville County School System and graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1973. Debbie was married to the love of her life, Floyd Hendricks Jr., on August 12, 1975.

Debbie was a "Phenomenal Woman". Her outward demeanor truly displayed the words she was known by "I'm Blessed". Debbie was a mother, a wife and a friend to those that came in contact with her. She made everyone feel special. She exhibited the character of God; she walked in wisdom, holiness, faith, she was immutable (never changed), selfless, she showed mercy as well as grace and displayed love to all. She loved the Lord and was very grounded in who she was and whose she was. Her smile was so inviting, hugs were refreshing and her laugh contagious. Debbie was a prayer warrior, a worshipper, and a giver not only of physical things but spiritual too. She was a leader. A true representation of the God she served. Debbie was also known for her sense of style. She was a "fashionista", before TJ Maxx made the word popular. She was a lover of all things that sparkled, shined and glittered. A true diamond in the rough. She was also The Flea Market Queen, A Yard Sale Guru, a bargain hunter... always knowing how to make and find a good deal. She will always be remembered as a woman with a BEAUTIFUL SPIRIT.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Pearson.

To cherish her memory she leaves behind a loving and devoted husband, Floyd Hendricks, Jr.; three daughters; Kanisha Hendricks and Kamisha Blythe, both of Easley and Santonia Sherman of Greenville; two sons, Antwon (Michelle) Hendricks of Greenville and Floyd Tromont Hendricks of Easley; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Regina Pulley, Gail Avery and Condrea Pearson (Grayling Sligh) , all of Greenville and Condera Pearson of Easley; three brothers, James (Delores) Pearson, Barron Pearson and Medgar Pearson, all of Greenville; a special cousin raised as a sister, Betty Jo Davis of Greenville; one sister-in-love, Bettye (Melvin) Reid of Atlanta GA; three god daughters; one godson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
