Surviving: wife, Annie Bell Searles of Greenville, SC; daughter, Donesia Bates Small of Hartford CT; sons; James Irby and Lavar Searles, both of Greenville SC; sisters, Sharon Mattison, Willena Searles, Patsy (Harry) Jones, all of Greenville SC; brothers, Benjamin C. (Darlene) Searles, William A. (Shirley) , all of Greenville SC; family friends, Steve Francis and Rachel Spearman-Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.
