Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth aka “Skeeta” Blassingame, 83, of Easley, South Carolina passed on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late James Henry and Bertha Lee Robinson Hagood.
She was the wife to Walter Lee Blassingame, Sr. for 55 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Whatinia (Rev. Keith) Mack of Orangeburg, SC, Wendy Johnson of Anderson, SC, and Brenda (Deacon Paul Joseph) Ashmore of Greenville, SC; one son, Walt Blassingame, Jr. (Brandy Slagle) of Easley, SC; eight sisters, Clarene Hagood of Liberty, SC, Doris Hagood, and Mamie Hagood both of Greenville, SC, Patricia Hagood of Liberty, SC, Francis Hagood and Kathy (Charles) Madison both of Greenville, SC, Pamela Brown of Plant City, FL and Rubye Maria Lee of Seffner, FL; three brothers, Donald (Peggy) Hagood of Easley, SC, James Hagood of Greenville, SC and James F. Tarrent of Toledo, OH; twelve grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 2:00pm at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary with interment in New Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Easley.
