Mrs. Dorothy Mae “Dot” Harper, 76, of 221 Virginia Avenue, Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at McCall Hospice House. She was a daughter of the late Odell Hewins and Ida Mae Paden Hewins.
She attended Sterling High School and was employed at Master Mark Cleaners for over thirty years. At an early age she joined the Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of thirty-eight years, Roosevelt “8-Ball” Harper; a sister, Isabelle Hewins; and two brothers, James Hewins and Walter Lee Hewins.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are a daughter, Gwen H. (Richard) White of Greenville; sons, Kenneth (Sherry) Hewins of Easley and Alexander (Angie) Harper of Greenville; three grandchildren, Jarocca (Lillian) Harper, Tyre A.Harper and Kia White, all of Greenville; her best friends, Ollie Clark and Mattie Hunter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
