Mrs. Dottie “Dot” Latimore Jenkins, age 84, of Greenville, South Carolina, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, January 18,, 2018, at Magnolia Manor in Greenville. Born August 1, 1933, in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Viola Irby Latimore.
Dottie was a graduate of Sterling High School and a member of Queen Street Baptist Church. Before her health declined, she served faithfully on the Senior Usher Board and in Seniors-In-Action. She was an honorary member of the International Free and Accepted Modern Masons and Order of the Eastern Star, Lula Davis Chapter #4. She was also a retiree of the Greenville Hospital System.
Our Mom was a very hardworking, caring, loving, humble, sweet person who sacrificed a lot for her children. She will be greatly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Jenkins; and a sister, Betty Jean Smith.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are four daughters, Barbara (Gary) Brown, Estelle Black, Sandra Jenkins and Beverly (Tyrone) Gossett, all of Greenville, SC; eight grandchildren, Sonya Jenkins Taylor, Travis Black, Nicholas Black, Calandra (Rodriquez) Suber, Chrystal (Robert) Reynolds, Candace Jenkins,Tiffany Brown and Reiney Sanders; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Maggie Klugh of Greenville, SC; and one brother, Robert Latimore of Mauldin, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
