Rev. Edgar Allen “Bo” Scott, Jr., 63, departed this life on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Regency Hospital, Eastpoint Georgia. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he was a son of Edgar Scott, Sr., and the late Willie Mae Dixon Scott Oneal.
Rev. Scott had a Master’s degree in Business. He was the CEO of Radical Insurance Services. He was a member of Hammond Grove Word of Power Ministry in North Augusta, South Carolina. He was the founder of Christ Love Ministry. He was a singer, composer, minister of the gospel, founder and leader of the gospel group, SEVEN and many other groups.
He was preceded in death by his mother; stepfather, Henry Lee Oneal; stepsister, Deborah Lewis; maternal grandfather, James A. Dickson; maternal grandmother, Ora Bell Dickson; brother, Willie B. Dixon and maternal uncles, Pervis Dickson and Willie B. Dixon.
Left to treasure many fond memories, in addition to his father: his wife, Evangelist Cheryl Jenkins Scott of the home; daughters,Gloria (Horace) Wardlaw of Charlotte, NC, and Alendria Scott of Charlotte, NC; stepdaughters, Chevonne Andrews and Rachel Harris, both of North Augusta, SC; sons, Demont (Ashley) Scott of Powdersville, SC, Cedrix (Crystina) Scott of Easley, SC, Kendrick Scott of Greenville, SC, Dante Swinton of Baltimore, MD, Isaiah (Subrizi) Scott of Piedmont,SC and Zacharias Scott of North Augusta, SC; stepsons, Clayton (Mini) Andrews of Augusta, GA, Clifton Andrews of Johnson City, TN, and Edwin Harris of North Augusta, SC; sisters, Ogretta C. Pitts, Melvena Scott, Marilyn Bunkley, and Mary (Charles) Young, all of Greenville, SC; brother, Larry (Dee) Scott of Dacula, GA; aunt, Christina Dixon of Greenville, SC; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
