Mr. Edward Devoe Evans, 68, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at home. He was a son of the late Thomas Jefferson Sullivan and Lucille Evans Gordon.
He was a graduate of Bryson High School and a self-employed auto mechanic.
He was preceded in death also by his grandparents, Hugh L. and Izola Sullivan; two brothers, David Sullivan and Thomas Sullivan, Jr.; and two sisters, Dorothy Evans and Doris Henderson.
Left to cherish many fond memories are two daughters, Tafoya Evans and Tonya (James) Burnside, both of Greenville, SC; three sons, Patrick (Stacie) Evans of Simpsonville, Travis Evans and Michael (Cynthia) Evans, both of Greenville, SC; five sisters, Ola Mae Croft, Letricia (Charles) Stokes, Elaine (Willie) Henderson, Carolyn Evans, all of Simpsonville, SC, and Marie Workman of Washington, DC; six brothers, Melvin (Gennie) Sullivan of Greenville, SC, Willie Charles (Dorlee) Evans of Simpsonville, SC, John W. (Catherine) Sullivan, of Greenville, SC, James Calvin Sullivan, Eddie C. Sullivan and Fred L. Sullivan, all of Simpsonville, SC; eleven grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
