Elder Cora Lou Wren Rabb, 76, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life to go to her Heavenly home on Thursday, September 21, 2017, in High Point, North Carolina. She was a daughter of the late Josephine Fernandez Byrd and was raised by her aunt (Mom) Ethel Ree Fernandez Jackson and Bud Miller. She was born on May 26, 1941 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Elder Rabb was a graduate of Maxwell High School in Brooklyn, New York and Travel Institute, Incorporated. She was a retiree of Magnolia Manor Nursing Home and was the Pastor of Barbara Chapel Church.
She was preceded in death by Josephine Byrd Fernandez, Ethel Ree Fernandez Jackson, Bud Miller, Bertha Lee Jackson Wilkie; Kent Fernandez, Ricky Byrd, Stanley Byrd, Lloyd Fernandez Jackson, Jr., and Alexander “Butch” Fernandez.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories, her husband, Bishop Willie N. Rabb of Greenville; stepsons, Andrew (Ginger) Rabb and Dennis E. Rabb, both of Greenville, Isaac D. Rabb of Anderson, and James B. (Rosalind) Rabb of Easley; daughters, Kenlan Fernandez (Jonathan) Bliss of High Point, NC, Elizabeth Fernandez of San Antonio, TX and Aretha (Melvin) Grover of Mauldin; sisters, Min. Cynthia Ward and Annie Ruth Sales, both of Greenville, Delphine Byrd, Rosyln (Theodore) Byrd and Regina Sherman, both of New York, NY, Patricia (Nathaniel) Sanders of Nevada, and Theresa Fields of Brooklyn, NY; brothers, Randy Byrd, Leslie Byrd, Ronald Byrd and Ricky Byrd, all of New York, NY, George D. Jackson, Orselar (Stella) Jackson, Pastor Leroy (Wilma) Jackson and Joseph Jackson, all of Greenville; four grand-children; twenty-two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
