Elder Dwight Singleton, 71, of 1 Lumar Street, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at McCall Hospice House.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Singleton of Greenville, SC; three sons Anthony D. Singleton of Portsmouth, VA., Stacee L. (Valarie) Singleton of Columbia, SC. and Donyell V. Singleton of Hampton,VA; three daughters, Deborah Y Singleton of Hampton, VA., Lesile (August) Smith of Newport News, VA, and Jalania Gaines of Washington DC.; two brothers, Roland Singleton of Silver Spring, MD. and Leonard (Henrietta) Singleton of Burlington, NC; five sisters, Maria Robinson and Gwendolyn A.Vann both of Neptune NJ, Hyacienth H. Tye of Hampton, VA, Quienzella E. (Vernon) Lattimore of Upper Marlboro, MD and Carolyn Pullen of New Carrollton,MD; four brothers-In-law, Preston C. Walker of Newport News, VA., James I. Walker of Upper Marlboro, MD, Roosevelt W. Walker of West Virginia, VA, Minister Solomon J. Walker of Forestville, MD; two stepsons, Steven A. (Rhonda) Walker of Mechanicsville, VA, Anthony A. Walker of Newport News, VA; fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; his first wife and mother of his six children, Julia M. Singleton of Hampton, VA and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
