Eliza Gordon

October 10, 1954 — June 16, 2019

Mrs. Eliza Christine “Kris” Gordon, 64, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Sunday, June 16, 2019, at her home. She was a daughter of Nellie Christine Jackson Walker and the late Isaiah Walker, Sr.

She was a graduate of Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a BS degree in Education. She was employed for 43 years at Greenville Hospital Systems, presently Prisma Health - Upstate.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Eliza Jackson; a sister, Deborah Kaye Walker; and a brother, Isaiah Walker, Jr.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories along with her mother, are her husband, Robert Gordon, Sr., of the home; one daughter, Elina (Aaron) Duncan of Laurens, SC; one son, Robert Gordon, Jr. of Port Wentworth, GA; three sisters, Lorraine (Jerome) Maddox of Simpsonville, SC, Samantha (Timothy) Barksdale of Fountain Inn, SC, and Althea M. Walker of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Marquise Duncan, Kasiya Duncan, Kaylani Duncan and Maddox Duncan; seven aunts, Marjorie (John) Sherman, Shelby (Sam) Johnson, Jeanette Walker, Jean (Bobby) Bowens, Eva Boykins, Ann Jackson and Pat McCullough; one uncle, Robert (Francis) Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends .
