Mrs. Elizabeth "Mema" Williams Austin, 73, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Piedmont Post Acute. She was a daughter of the late David and Jennie B. Lipford Williams.
She was married to Rev. Carrol Austin for 55 years.
Surviving: in addition to her husband, two daughters, Michelle (Richard) Hilborn of Greenville, SC and Tasha (Gregory) Petersen of Charlotte, NC; one son, Mark Austin of Greenville, SC; one sister, Daisy Hill of Jamaica Queens, NY; two brothers, Ricky Williams of New Jersey and David. O. (Gloria) Williams of Olympia, WA; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Monday, October 9, 2023, 2:00pm, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Simpsonville, SC, with interment in Church Cemetery.
