Essie Burnside

Mrs. Essie Lee Burnside, 71, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Thursday November 15, 2018, at her home. She was a daughter of the late Lewis and Cleo Bowens Burnside.

She was employed at J.P. Stevens, Milliken Mills, Junior Styles Restaurant, and was a homemaker and a caregiver.

She was a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and was a volunteer for the North Greenville Fire Department.

Surviving are five daughters, Delisa Burnside (Ira) Rhone, Audrey Griffin, Felicia (Lewis) Brown, JoAnn Lynch and Tammy (Desaude) Ashmore, all of Greenville, SC; three sons, Dr. Danny (Alisha) Burnside, Sr., of Boilings Springs, SC, Joseph (Fiance’ Kayla Seay) Griffin, Jr., of Travelers Rest, SC and Randy Adams of Greenville, SC; three sisters, Sue Mae (John) Hughes, Mattie Burnside and Hattie (Walter) Taylor, all of Greenville, SC; twenty-six grand-children; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
