Mrs. Etheleen Virginia Walker Stokes, 100, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Greenville Post Acute. Born in Pickens County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Charles Dana Walker and Hassie Miller Walker. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Stokes was married to the late Samuel “OC” Stokes for 55 years.
Surviving: two daughters, Gracie (Gordon) Bowens of Easley, SC and Dorsena Stokes Hendrix of Grenville, SC; five sons, Samuel L. Stokes of Greenville, SC, Larry (Reana) Stokes, Charles (Letricia) Stokes both of Simpsonville, SC, Terry L. (Twanda) Stokes of Chesnee, SC, and Tony D. Jeraldine) Stokes of Simpsonville, SC; twenty-seven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Services: Sunday, September 10, 2023, 2:00pm, at Easley Union Missionary Baptist Church with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
