Eugene Young

August 2, 1929 — September 27, 2018

Mr. Eugene Young, 89, departed this life to join his wife in their heavenly home on Thursday, September 27, 2018. He was born in Greenville, South Carolina, and was a son of the late Clyde and Sarah Shell Young. He attended Greenville County Schools, and Springfield Baptist Church.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, and an extraordinary concrete finisher. He was a wonderful loving father and grandfather, who never met a stranger, full of energy, kind and also very head strong. He will be truly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Hawkins, Elizabeth Young, and Margaret Sanders; and his brothers, Ludie (Rosie) Young, Albert (Lois) Young, William (Margie) Young, Ezell (Willie) Young, Clyde (Earlie) Young, David (Eloise) Young and James (Carrie) Young.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are two daughters, Deborah (Paul) Stephenson of Mauldin, SC and Donna Williams of Suitland, MD; one son, Rodney Young of Marietta, GA; one brother, Mr. Ralph (Daisy) Young of Greenville, SC; three grandchildren, Monica McDaniel of Mauldin, SC, Erica Williams of Falls Church, VA, and Marcus Williams of Odenton, MD; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
