Evelyn Jefferson

Ms. Evelyn Patricia Jefferson, 83, of 303 Turnbridge Trail, Simpsonville, South Carolina, departed this life on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at her home. She was a daughter of the late Donell Jefferson, Sr., and Lillie Mae Evans Jefferson.

She was educated in the Greenville County School System. She loved to sing, read her Bible and complete word puzzles. She was a faithful member of the Piedmont Manor Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Sylvester Golden, Sr. Recently she was attending Old Shady Oak Baptist Church under Rev. William O. Harris, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents: one sister, Marion Woody Jefferson; and four brothers, Willie James Jefferson, Jimmy Lee Jefferson, Bobby Lee Jefferson, and Donell Jefferson.

Left to treasure many fond and loving memories are: two sons, Larry Jefferson of Simpsonville and Jimmy Jefferson of Piedmont; two sisters, Ruth Marie Jefferson and Dorothy Mae Jefferson, both of Greenville; one brother, Jerry (Ruby) Jefferson of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Shonika (Ray) Durham, Lamarcus D. Evans, Christy C. Jefferson and Cornesia L. (Andrew) Caldwell; five great-grandchildren, Jamal D. Rodgers, Brandon Mathis, Devante Mathis, Mako Caldwell and Jackie Caldwell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
