Mrs. Florence B. Cox-Dial, 84, of 19 Lake Ridge Drive in Greenville, South Carolina, was born April 1, 1935, and transitioned to her Heavenly home, Saturday 7, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Lindsey Babb and Viola Kirksey Babb.
She was the Past National Worthy Matron O.E.S., Past Grand Worthy Matron Beauty Chapter O.E.S. and the Past Worthy Matron Star of the South Chapter #6 O.E.S.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are her devoted husband of 18 years, Mr. James A. Dial of the home; three stepdaughters, Janis (Anthony) Rogers of Laurens, SC, Sheila (Dale) Posley of Greenville, SC, and Gail (Johnny) Floyd of Piedmont, SC; and one stepson, A.J. (Martha) Dial of Jacksonville, FL; She was also a loving second mom to April Jones of New York; she leaves two loving sisters, Bernice Jones of New York, and Patsy McCray of Greenville, SC; she had a number of beautiful caregivers, Rose Ann Kirksey, Edith Heyward, Dottie Scott and Rebecca Simmons; she and her husband adopted several goddaughters, Pauline Callaham, Alicia Wilson Simmons and Cynthia McCray, who was also a caregiver; and a host of other family and friends.
