Mrs. Frances Rosemond Morris, 87, of Greenville, South Carolina, transitioned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Brushy Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was born September 29, 1931, a daughter of the late James T. Rosemond and Lora McKinney Rosemond. A faithful wife, a devoted mother and constant friend, she left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to be in her presence.
She received her education in the Greenville County schools and worked on several jobs throughout her life until she retired from EMB-TEX Textile Manufacturing. Following retirement, she was able to devote more energy into her love of travel, often going on cruises, road trips and daytime excursions. She anticipated and enjoyed each new experience and actively looked for more opportunities to keep moving whether traveling with family or friends.
She was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and following marriage attended Enoree Fork Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess. After the death of her husband Maceo G. Morris, Sr., she returned to Mt Sinai where she participated in the Missionary ministry. She attended faithfully as long as her health allowed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maceo G. Morris, Sr; a sister, Mamie Bennett; and a brother, James L. Rosemond.
Cherishing her memory are her daughter, Daphanie Evans of Travelers Rest, SC; a son, Maceo G. Morris, Jr., of Columbia, SC; a sister, Viola Cruell of Jacksonville, FL; a brother, Edward Rosemond of Buffalo, NY; five grand-children; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who loved her and never doubted her love for them.
