Mr. Fred Williams, 68, of Greenville, South Carolina, transitioned on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Patewood Rehabilitation Healthcare. He was the son of the late June Pendleton and Eunice Singleton Thomas.
He was a graduate of Greenville High School and worked at J.P. Stevens-Parker Plant for thirty-eight years. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and a former semi-pro football player with the Greenville Bulls.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronnie Penland.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are his devoted wife, Pandora D. Jones Williams of Greenville, SC; two daughters, Adrienne L. Williams of Fresno, CA and Eleanor (George, Jr.) Green of Greenville, SC; three sons, Shantae (Jennifer) Williams and Brian Williams, both of Fresno, CA, and Frederick (Letitia) Jenkins of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Shirley A. Wright and Marion Lomax, both of Greenville, SC; three brothers, William Penland of Cleveland, OH, Ezell Singleton and William Evans, both of Greenville, SC; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two dedicated aunts, Shirley White of Chicago, IL, and Norma Jean Richardson of Fairfield, CA; a sister-in-law, Melvina J. (Simeon) Robertson of Greer, SC; a brother-in-law, Vincent (Tiffany) Williams of Duncan, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
