Frederick Johnson, Sr.

Mr. Frederick “Pop” Johnson, Sr., 79, of Greenville, South Carolina passed on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at home. He was a son of the late Horace Frederick Johnson and Lillian Baskerville Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Pryor; and two grandsons, Christopher Dawson and Frederick H. Johnson.
He attended public school in Washington, DC and retired from Gerald Glur Realty.
Mr. Johnson was an avid bowler, fisherman, golfer, developed a passion for puzzles and a die hard Washington Redskins fan.
Surviving: his wife of 59 years, Mary Bell Johnson high school sweetheart; two daughters, Kim Latimer and Angela (James) Collins, both of Greenville; two sons, Frederick (Sharia) Johnson, Jr., of Greenville and Anthony (Carolyn) Johnson of Piedmont; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
