Gaytha McClendon

Ms. Gaytha Lee McClendon, 51, of Liberty, SC, passed on September 4, 2018, at her home. She was a biological daughter of the late G.W. Thompson and Carrie Bell Jones Thompson and a foster daughter of Calvin Jones and the late Willie Mae Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; foster mother; brothers, Clarence Thompson and John Thompson; and sisters, Janie Lee Thompson and Dorothy Rainey.

Surviving: her father, Calvin Jones of Powdersville, SC; a daughter, Jessica L. McClendon of Houston, TX; sons, Richard McClendon and Timon Austin, both of Central, SC; sisters, Sunedra Jones and Shavella Austin, both of Greenville, SC, Patricia Scott of Baltimore, MD, Tootsie Maxwell, Louise Wardlaw, Charlena Thompson, Mary Thompson, Margaret T. Webb, all of Anderson, SC and Laura Thompson of Greenville, SC; brothers, Calvin “Rope” Jones, Chioki Jones and Dexter Jones, all of Greenville, George Thompson and Herman Thompson, both of Anderson, SC, Jesse Paden of Lagoon, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends
