Mrs. Genevie Webb Shaw, 79, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, departed this life on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Patewood Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on November 15, 1938, and was a daughter of the late Rufus Freeman and Francie Smith Freeman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Doris Nelson; and two brothers, Eddie Joe Freeman and Charles Freeman.
Left to cherish many fond memories are: one daughter, Janet (Gordon) Simmons, of Simpsonville; six sons, Roger (Keisha) Freeman and Kelvin Shaw, both of Greenville, Milton (Shurrane) Webb of Greensboro, NC, Curtis (Pamela) Shaw of Mauldin, Stevie (Angela) Shaw of Dalton, GA, and Michael Shaw of Chattanooga, TN; father of the children, Ray Shaw of Greenville; two sisters, Barbara A. Leach and Dorothy Moore, both of Greenville; five brothers, Herman (Margaret) Freeman of Taylors, Lenwood Freeman of Spartanburg, and Willie Earl Freeman, Bennie (Linda) Freeman and Rufus Freeman, all of Greenville; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
