Mr. George “Crip” Robinson, Jr., 79, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Friday, March 10, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late George Robinson, Sr. and Limaude Pruitt. He was raised by his late grandmother, Lizzie Pruitt.
“Crip” attended the public schools in Anderson County. He was a retiree after thirty years of service to the City of Greenville as a truck driver. He was a member of the Nicholtown Presbyterian Church and was the Godfather of the Chosen Few Motorcycle Club.
Many fond and loving memories will remain with his wife, Sarah Davenport Robinson of Greenville; two daughters, Tiffany Robinson of Greenville and Angela D. Stewart of Mauldin; four sisters, Sarah Pruitt Robinson of Brentwood, NY, Gloria Maxwell of Newark, NJ, Elaine (William) Riley of Detroit, MI, and Lizzie Bell of Greenville; one aunt, Bessie K. Robinson of Mauldin; two grandchildren, Regnial and Dalvin Davenport; four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
