Mrs. Georgia Ruth Gambrell Young, 92, of Cayce, South Carolina, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at her residence. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late James T. and Daisy Floyd Gambrell.
Mrs. Young was the wife of the late Columbus Young, Jr. for 44 years.
Surviving: three daughters, Hellen Young, Ellen Young and Dazzetter Young, all of Columbia, SC; two sons, James E. Young of Detroit, MI and Wade A. Young of Dublin, GA; one sister, Barbara Mintz of Philadelphia, PA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Saturday, May 20, 2023, 3:30pm at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary with interment private.
