Mrs. Gladys Mae McDonald Gamble, 93, of Easley, South Carolina, departed her earthly home for heaven on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at her home. Daughter of the late Benjamin and Jessie Wilson McDonald was the last member of her immediate family.
Gladys was educated in the public-school system. She was a high school graduate and worked on various jobs during her life, including hairdresser, baker, and health care provider, and retired from Alice Manufacturiing Company in Easley. She joined Easley Union Missionary Baptist Church at a very early age. There, she served ... the culinary staff, the Women's Auxiliary, and the Missionary Group.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Gamble; a son, Kennith A Gamble; a daughter, Palmer Jean Gamble; a daughter- in-law, Earnestine Hunt Gamble; and a grandson, Allen Timothy Gamble.
Mrs. Gladys was loved by all with whom came in contact and she loved to talk to everyone. She lived by the scripture Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories forever are her son, Benjamin Gamble of Easley; one granddaughter, Tracy (Jean) Gamble of Easley, SC; two grandsons, Tony (Yoshika) Gamble of Anderson, and Tom (Amber) Gamble of Simpsonville, SC; five great-grandchildren, Dejuan, Aaliyah, Caden and Alexis Gamble, all of Simpsonville, SC, and Kennadi Wilkins of Moore, SC; five nieces, Linda White of Knoxville, TN; Marion Thompson of Summerdale, NJ;Barbara Robinson-Still, Thelma Bailey and Connie (Johnny) Palmer of Greenville, SC; four nephews, Larry (Toni) Blassingame of Indian Head, MD, Doug (Bernice) Blassingame of Charleston, SC, Ricky Blassingame of Greenville, SC, and Ricky (Eva) McDonald of Simpsonville, SC; special friends, Bernice Anderson, Carrie Garrett , Frances Ramsey, Emma Teamer and Louise Cannon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
