Gussie Jenkins

Mrs. Gussie Jenkins, 90, was born on May 1, 1926, in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Lawrence and Dorothy Owens. Gussie entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.

Mrs. Gussie was a member of Mount Olive Baptist church and was employed by the Luthi family for over 20 years.

She was united in holy matrimony to Nebbie Jenkins for seventy years and to this union eight children were born. She lived to see four generations of her family.

She leaves behind many fond and loving memories, her daughters, Judy Ann Jenkins of the home and Lucille Jones of Greenville; her sons, Sherrell “Sonny” (Helen) Jenkins and Lawrence Jenkins, both of Greenville and Curtis Jenkins of the home; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Nell Frasier; a brother-in-law, Samuel (Pat) Jenkins and a host of other relatives and friends.
