Mr. Hallums Jacob “Hit Man” Cannon, 74, son of the late Jacob and Almeta Hallums Cannon, was born on September 11, 1942 in Liberty, South Carolina, and departed this life on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Greenville Health System.
At an early age, he joined New Hope Baptist Church in Liberty. He was a graduate of Clearview High School. He served his country with honor and distinction by joining the United States Air Force. He was a retired truck driver from Walmart Distribution Center.
He leaves to cherish precious memories: his wife, Doreen Latimer Cannon of the home; son, Jacob C. (Sally) Cannon of Powder Springs, GA; stepchildren, Johnny (Rhonda) Blackwell, Allen Blackwell and Cory Blackwell, all of Laurens, and Christy Patterson of Greer; sister, Sara C. Abercrombie of Greenville; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
