Harold Walker

Harold Junior “Stretch” Walker was born to the late Della Mae Allen and the late Ellis H. Duck on October 13, 1947. On Saturday morning, August 13, 2016, he departed peacefully into eternal life.

Harold was a 1966 graduate of Sterling High School. He joined Israel Metropolitan AME Church at an early age. He was a veteran of the United States Army and actively served in the Vietnam War. He was employed by Hoechst Celanese (Fiber Industries) before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Furman Allen and one sister, Dorothy Ann Arter.

He leaves to cherish fond memories a daughter, Sherry Walker-Sanders of Greenville, SC; a son, Corey Thomason of Minneapolis, MN; brothers, Robert Lee Walker and Calvin Duck, both of Greenville, SC; sister, Tabatha Duck Crawford of Greenville, SC; grandson, Kevin W. Sanders of Greenville, SC; granddaughter, Danisha Croft; son-in-law, Billy J. Sanders; brother-in-law, Marvin Arter; two great-grandsons and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
