Mr. Haskell J. Cooley was born on April 13, 1942, in Anderson County, South Carolina, and departed this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, in Mauldin, South Carolina. He was the son of the late James Ralph and Beatrice G. Cooley.
He joined Shady Grove Baptist Church at an early age. He served our country as a member of the United States Army for four years, during which he was awarded a Purple Heart for his service in the Vietnam War. Haskell then joined employment with Roadway Express, where he devoted 38 years before his retirement.
Blessed with the memories of Haskell's love are four children, Roderick Kelly of Greenville, SC, Tonya Cooley of Simpsonville, SC, Jacquelyn Cannon (Tony) of Mauldin, SC, and Keith (Christa) Cooley of Lawrenceville, GA; four grandchildren, D.J. Cannon, J.D. Cannon, Mariah Cooley and Sean Cooley; one sister, Mary Ann Cooley; an uncle, Bennie Dale (Nell) Cooley of El Paso, TX; an aunt, Dorothy McCullough of Greenville, SC; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
