Hattie Chiles English

Mrs. Hattie Carol Chiles-English, 72, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at her home. She was a daughter of the late Samuel David and Janie Lee Arnett Chiles. She graduated from Sterling High School, Class of 1964. She also was a dedicated teacher’s assistant and a valued retired employee of the Greenville County School District.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Bobby Chiles, Mary “Frankie” Chiles, Janie “Belle” Kirksey, George H. Chiles and Samuel D. Chiles, Jr.

Surviving are her husband, Theo Jonathan English of the home; a daughter, Natalie Chiles-Blackburn of the home; one sister, Lola M. Ford of Gaffney; one brother, Charles (Barbara) Chiles of Greenville; one granddaughter, Tyra LeAnne Blackburn of the home; and a host of other relatives and friends.
