Mrs. Hattie B. “Hat” Rosemond, 70, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at her home. She was a daughter of the late William Henry and Ellen Brewster Gray.
She was a graduate of Washington High School and was a dedicated employee of Oakmont Nursing Center for thirty-four years. A member of St. John United Methodist Church and New St. Luke United Methodist Church, she served as a member of the United Methodist Women, former Lay Speaker, Gospel Choir and Praise Choir. She was a true woman of God who always walked by faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Eula Elaine Bolden; two brothers, Robert Lee Gray and William H. Gray, Jr.; and a nephew, Marion Bolden, Jr.
Left to cherish many fond memories are her husband, Charles Edward Rosemond; daughters, Rhonda L. Garrison of Mauldin, Bridgette L. Wardlaw (Everitt McClurkin), Loretta Garrison and Tabitha L. Garrison, all of Greenville and Kelly (Lester) Phillips of Taylors; two stepsons, Jackie Wardlaw and Charles Fuller, both of Greenville; two sisters, Mary L. Freeman and Catherine A. Thompson, both of Greenville; two brothers, Fred Gray and Curtis C. Gray, both of Greenville; two aunts, Willie Ree Gray and Ruby G. Gray, both of Greenville; one uncle, Silas Gray II, of Greenville; eight grandchildren, Rodrick (Kaila) Garrison, Tamika (Kevin) Williams, Derrick (Jelanie) Jenkins, Keyanna (Ivan) Garrison, Charlicia Burton, Ericha (Cortney) Jenkins, Kris Burns, Jr., and Kayleigh Phillips; six great-grandchildren, Messiyah, Quintasia, Ian, Tabias, Lukas and Key’Nyre and a host of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
