Mr. Hector Roma Tate, 51, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Tuesday, August 23,2022. He was a son of Myra Acker Newkirk and the late James Tate.
He was married to Melanie Jones Tate of Atlanta, Georgia for over eleven years.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his children, Hector R. Tate, Jr., Nicole Drains, Kanesha Paris-Tate and Kiara Conyers-Tate all of Georgia; his siblings, Jimmy Barton of Tennessee, Shunis Acker and Myra (Jamal) Jones of both of Massachusetts and a host of additional sisters and brothers; three grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Saturday, September 3, 2022, 3:30pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment private.
