Helen Wright

Mrs. Helen Virginia Wright, 89, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Pete Lester Gaines and Johnnie Mae Thompson Gaines.

She was an employee at Milliken Cleaners for numerous years until her retirement. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents;husband, John “Willie” Wright; son, Robert Lee Gaines; daughter, Lillie Mae Gaines; and a sister, Willie Mae Gaines-Sullivan.

Left with many fond and loving memories are her daughter, Schenell (Johnny Ray) Wright of the home; two sons, Elquan El (Chantell) of Charlotte, NC and Roy Lee (Freda) Wright of Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren, Lirone Wright, Scherell Wright, Helena Wright, Lester Wright, Jerrell Wright, Jerica Wright, Jonny “Piggy” Mayes and Christopher Wright who was raised in the home; nineteen great-grand-children; ten great-great-grandchildren; a goddaughter, Wanda Wilson of Greenville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
