Henry Sanders

Mr. Henry Isaac “Duke” Sanders, 70, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Monday, January 13, 2020, Prisma Healthcare Upstate. He was a son of the late Catherine Sanders.

He graduated from Travelers Rest High School and Allied Truck Driving School. He was a member of I-85 Church of Christ.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing and making people laugh. He was loved by all and was a loving father and grandfather, an example of what a father and grand-father should be. He was a loving husband who cherished his wife of 49 years, Sally.

He was preceded in death by Lavonia “Nae” Sanders.

He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories, the love of his life, his wife, Sally Green Sanders of the home; two daughters, Diane (Terry) Butler of Raleigh, NC, and Melanie Glenn of Greenville, SC; one son, Isaac (Rita) Sanders of Simpsonville, SC; two sisters, Mattie Reeder and Ida Bell Anderson, both of Travelers Rest, SC; one brother, J.B. Sanders of Greenville, SC; ten grand-children; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
