Hovie Kirksey

January 19, 1949 — September 14, 2015

Mr. Hovie Scott Kirksey, 66, of 2523 River Road, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015. Born in Travelers Rest, he was the son of the late Waymon Kirksey and Lydia Miller Kirksey.

Surviving: devoted companion, Kimberly Sullivan of the home; sons, Marcus (Antoinette) Kirksey of Lawrenceville, GA, Maurice (Tammy) Kirksey of Travelers Rest, Charles J. Kirksey of Simpsonville, and Joshua S. Kirksey of Mauldin; sisters, Delora Mae Kirksey-Arnold of Travelers Rest and Patsy Williams of Taylors; brother, Reginald Antoine Kirksey of Simpsonville; special aunt, Thelma Jackson; stepdaughters, Robriena Sullivan, Charliena Sullivan, Leonetta Perry, Hiawanza Young, and Verscilla (Rod) Lindsey, all of Greenville; fourteen grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Service: Thursday, September 24, 2015, 1:00 PM, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with burial in MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 2523 River Road, Piedmont.
