Isaac Maxwell

Mr. Isaac “Jacob” Maxwell, Jr., of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Monday, December 25, 2017, at his home. Born in Charleston County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Isaac Maxwell, Sr., and Mary McCormick Maxwell.

“Jacob” was educated in the Charleston County School System and was a construction worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jerry Lewis Smith; a stepson, Larry McGriff and four brothers, Clarence Maxwell, William Maxwell, Charles V. Maxwell, and Thomas Maxwell.

Left to treasure many fond memories are his wife, Ethel Griffin Maxwell of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Georgie B. Brown and Rosa Branton, both of McClellanville, SC; one brother, Lewis Maxwell of Jamestown, SC; two sisters-in-law, Rodell Maxwell of McClellanville, SC and Thomasena Maxwell of Hineville, GA; one brother-in-law, Sam C. Branton, Sr., of McClellanville, SC; a special friend, James Cox; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
