Mr. James Albert “Pops” Byrd, 78, of Greenville, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Regency Hospital. He was the son of the late James Eugene and Anna Marie Dreher Byrd.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Bowens Byrd; one daughter, Angela Fanita “Angie” Byrd; and one son, Jason Elliot Byrd.
He is survived by one son, James Demetrius Byrd of the home; one sister, Rachel Byrd of Greenville, SC; three grandchildren, Marshayla Mayes, Asajay Byrd and Jamecia Byrd.
Funeral Service: Monday, August 16, 2021, 2:00 pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment at Shoals Creek Baptist Church.
