Mr. James Alister Dial

On May 21, 2024, James Alister Dial transitioned from this life to the next.
He was born August 11, 1930 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Mattie Virginia Dial Free.
In addition to his mother and wife (Florence), he was preceded in death by one daughter, Mattie Harnetha Hopkins (Eugene Hopkins) Georgia, and one son, Alister Jerome (Martha Dial)Dial.
Ruben, as he was affectionately called, attended high school in Greenville, SC after which he joined the Army. He was a member of Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, SC.
Surviving: three daughters - Gail A. Floyd (Pastor Johnny E. Floyd) Piedmont, SC, Shelia Posley (Dale Posley) Greenville, SC, and Janice Rogers (Anthony Rogers) Laurens, SC. Special niece - April Jones. Caretaker – LaSonya Dickey. Eleven grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services: Wednesday, May 29, 2024, 1:00pm, at Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church, with interment in M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, on Friday, May 31, 2024, 10:00am.
