James Gambrell

Mr. James Leroy “Moochie” Gambrell, Jr., 79, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. He was a son of the late James Leroy Gambrell, Sr., and Elizabeth Jones Gambrell.
He was a retiree of Palmetto Box Company where he was a supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, a sister and a son, Rev. Carlos Roman “Chicken Man” Gambrell.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are his wife, Mary Arnett Gambrell of the home; three sons, James “Skeet” Foster, Rev. Derrick Gambrell and Rick (Janice) Gambrell; four sisters, Shirley Gambrell, Jacqueline Gayle Gambrell and Marsha Sherry Anderson, all of Greenville, and June Elizabeth Shell of Laurens; three special grandchildren, Avery, Ricky and Keiasha; and a host of other grandchildren, relatives and friends.
