Mr. James Edward Gatewood, Sr., 74, of 611 S. Fairfield Road, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville SC., he was the son of the late Roscoe Gatewood and Lois Pace Gatewood Ross.
Surviving: are his daughter; Shirley (Garrett ) Bernard of Columbus OH. Sons; Markeith Ladson, and James Edward Gatewood Jr. both of Cincinnati OH. Sister; Vera (Marshall) Wynn Jr. of Mauldin. Brothers; William Gatewood of Mauldin, Rev. Furman (Earline) of Greenville, Roscoe (Peggy) Gatewood of Mauldin, and Glenn Ross of Piedmont. Five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation: Saturday, November 22, 2014, 6:00-7:00 PM at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary.
Funeral Service: Sunday, November 23, 2014, 2:00 P.M. at Community Mission Baptist Church, Taylors, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
