Mr. James “Jock” Blakely, 76, of Greenville, South Carolina, transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, August 5, 2021, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of the late James, Sr., and Ruth Mae Turner Blakely.
He is survived by his six daughters, Darlene (Orelanderg) Sullivan of Columbia, SC, Cavetta (Bobby) McDavid, Yalonda Lashay Shell, Jean Hendrix, and Kimberly Blakely, all of Greenville, SC, and Shannon (Kenneth) Gray of Jacksonville, FL; three sons, Antwon Stevenson, Joshua James Blakely of Greenville, SC, and Cedric Boyd of Columbus, OH; four sisters, Judy Jenkins of Greenville, SC, Jacqueline Williams, Jean (Robert) Crowell, and Jill Williams of Washington, DC; three brothers, James, Jr. (Nancy) Blakely of Atlanta, GA, Joseph Lee (Mildred) and Jerry Blakely, both of Greenville, SC; twenty grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Friday, August 20, 2021, 2:30 pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
