James Frank Yeargin was born on July 23, 1945, in Greenville County, South Carolina to the union of the late James (JB) and Jessie Belle Yeargin.
He was educated in the Greenville County School Systems and later as a young man worked in various mills before landing a construction job. In 1965, James married Harriett Lindsay and from their union two beautiful daughters were born, Pamela and Rachel. In order to pursue a better life, in 1969, James moved his family to Detroit, MI. where he gained employment at Ford Rouge Plant. As time moved on James had five more beautiful daughters and a stepson whom he loved dearly.
James was a good man, positive and giving. He always helped others even when he was sick. He was not one to speak negatively, he preferred to look at the brighter side of things.
James loved being on the move and even started his own Vacuum Sales and Repair Business. In which he would eventually become known as the “Vacuum King”. James was truly a people person. Every Sunday he looked forward to listening to the Blues music at the park. He made sure he was always at family functions and in his spare time he enjoyed watching sports.
The story of James Frank Yeargin would not be complete without mentioning the love of his life for more than 20 years, Sharon Barbee.
James departed this life on June 14, 2016, and was preceded in death, his parents, James (JB) and Jessie Belle; his brother, Roy Lee (Rudy).
James leaves to cherish his memories: his life long companion, Sharon Barbee; his children, Pamela (Kenneth), Rachel (Lawrence), Anastacia, Jamie, Lakiesha, LeAnn and Anglea; his stepson, Ryan Barbee; siste,r Blanche Murraye; brother, Calvin (Bob); grandchildren, Keyunne, Tiara, Dorian and Chase and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and his life long friends.
