JB Dendy

Mr. J.B. “Sonny” Dendy, Jr., 80, departed this life on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Greenville Health System. He was a son of the late J.B. Sr., and Sallie Childs Dendy.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Dendy; a son, Larry Johnson; and a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Dendy.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah J. Fair Dendy; two daughters, Connie Martin of Greenville, SC, and Traci (Andrew) Williams of Walterboro, SC; four sons, Bobby Dendy of Charlotte, NC, Kenneth Dendy and Pete Ponder of Greenville, SC, and Anthony (Shameka) Dendy of Suffolk, VA; four sisters, Francis Evans, Betty Valentine and Virginia Anderson, all of Greenville, SC, and Francine Gaffney of Easley, SC; five brothers, John (Patricia) Dendy, Terry (Aretha) Dendy, David (Vivian) Dendy and James (Verna) Dendy, all of Greenville, SC, and Ralph (Gloria) Dendy of Taylors, SC; nineteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
