Jennie Cheatham

August 17, 1944 — March 30, 2019

Ms. Jennie Lue “Lue Lue” Cheatham, 75, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at her home. She was a daughter of the late Eddie and Sallie Mae Miller Geter.

She was a graduate of Sterling High School and was employed at S & S Cafeteria and Slazenger Golf. She was affiliated with Nicholtown Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cheatham; a daughter, Erica Lynn Davis; and her grandmother, Mary Miller.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are two daughters, Nida (Rickey) Harris of Greenville, SC, and Mercedes (Rev. Kenneth A.) Dean of Belton, SC; one brother, Jessie (Cheryl) Miller of Washington, DC; three stepdaughters, Dimitri Cheatham of Charlotte, NC, Dawn Cheatham of Greenville, SC, and Cynthia DeSaussure Cason of Durham, NC; two stepsons, Michael Cheatham of Charlotte, NC, and Darryl (Juanita) Cheatham of Killeen, TX; one cousin, Nelson Byrd, Jr., of Greenville, SC; seven grand-children, Morrio Davis, Melissa Davis, Samuel Shumate, Kayla Dean, Sidney Dean, Jeremiah Dean and Aja Turner; one great-granddaughter, Penelope “Penny” Davis; a goddaughter, Shawn Hollister; and a host of other relatives and friends.
