Jennie Williams

Mrs. Jennie Beatrice “Jennie B” Williams, 85, formerly of 125 New Castle Place, Simpsonville, South Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Capstone Rehabilitation and Health in Easley. She was a daughter of the late Daniel Lipford and Patsy Murray Lipford.

She was a faithful and member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She previously held the position of Minister of Music, and was a member of the Tree of Life Club, Gospel Choir, Willing Workers and Trustees Wives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David O. Williams; two brothers, James Lipford and Daniel Lipford, Jr.; and two grandsons, Rickey Williams, Jr., and James P. Williams.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are three daughters, Rev. Elizabeth W. (Rev. Carrol) Austin of Easley, Mary Ann (Robert) Byrd of Greenville, and Daisy Hill of Jamaica, NY; two sons, David (Gloria) Williams, Jr., of Olympia, WA and Ricky Williams of Brooklyn, NY; one sister, Edna J. Gaines of Jamaica, NY; one brother, Murry Lipford of Jamaica, NY; a special niece raised in the home, Aretha (Terry) Dendy of Greenville; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grand-children fourteen great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
