On Sunday, December 31, 2017, Jermaine Douglas Bruster went home to be with the Lord at the age of 39. He is now surrounded in Heaven by his beloved mother and father, the late Douglas K. and Barbara Ann Bruster; maternal grandparents, the late David and Alberta Webb, Sr.; paternal grandparents, the late James and Leoni Bruster; and his twin brother, the late Jerome Maurice Bruster.
Jermaine was the best kind of man. He was a dear father who loved his children. His kindness, strength, faith and determination to achieve true happiness kept him optimistic, despite the losses that he endured throughout his lifetime. He was a ray of sunshine who brightened the days of everyone around him. He was ecstatic to be reunited with his soulmate, and looked forward to fulfilling his dream of marrying the love of his life this year. Jermaine obtained his Commercial Driver’s Permit after months of training this past summer and recently accepted a new position. He was excited about progressing towards starting his own business.
Jermaine was deeply loved. The love that he showered upon his family and friends will endure for a lifetime. Devastated by Jermaine’s passing, we remain to cherish the most precious memories; his fiancé and best friend of 25 years, Ms. Shelvis Gambrell; two children whom he adored, his daughter Jerquasia Gambrell-Bruster and his son Romello Bruster; brothers, Roderick Bruster and Roland Smith; nieces, Amya and Jaleah Bruster; uncles, David Webb and Roger Bruster; aunts, Debra Bruster, Lottie Hardy and Dot Floyd; mother-in-law (to be), Betty Gambrell; sister-in-law (to be), Tiffany Gambrell; and brother-in-law (to be), John Gambrell. Jermaine leaves a host of friends, relatives and others touched by his presence. He will be honored by his loved ones forever and will never be forgotten.
