Jesse McGowan

Mr. Jesse Edward “Sweet Jesse” McGowan, 73, of Greenville, passed on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at his home. He was a son of Rufus and Ossie Whitner McGowan.

Surviving are four daughters, Janet (Trevor) Davidson, Teresa (Mark) Acker and Donna McGowan, all of Greenville, SC and Glennis Burnette of Honea Path, SC; two sons, James E. (Kim) McGowan and Richard McGowan, both of Greenville, SC; three sisters, Ossie Lee McGowan of Charlotte, NC, and Affie Brown and Shirley Henry, both of Greenville, SC; three brothers, William (Angie) McGowan of Pelzer, SC, Rufus (Gwen) McGowan of Springfield, Mass, and Rev. Raymond McGowan of Greenville, SC; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
