Joel Belcher

Mr. Joel “Papa Joe” Belcher, 77, of 276 Moore Street, Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at his home. He was a son of the late Paul Belcher and Lujane Wilson Belcher.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Potlow Belcher; a sister, Barnett Belcher; three brothers, William Belcher, Ellis Belcher and Calhoun Belcher.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are five daughters, Carla D. Belcher, Bernadette (Min. Gregory) Lee, Carolyn Y. Belcher (Otis) Weir, Wanda Woods (J.C.) and Sandra L. Potlow (Robert), all of Greenville; one sister, Johnnie Mae Bacon of Buffalo, NY; two brothers, Jimmy (Azalee) Belcher of Calhoun Falls, SC, and Robert Belcher of Buffalo, NY; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a special niece, Elizabeth Anne Burdine of Greenville, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
