Joel Thomas

Mr. Joel Frederick “Butch” Thomas, 71, of Greenville, passed on Monday, December 31, 2018, at his home. He was the son of the late Willie and Mary Hawkins Thomas Murray.

Surviving: four daughters, Sonya Johnson, April Williams, both of Greenville, SC, Dana Dobson of Orangeburg, SC, and Charity Jones of Detroit, MI; five sons, Joel (Kiesha)Thomas, Chris Thomas, Mario Williams, all of Greenville, SC, Stacy Mays, Sr. of Greer, SC, and Todd (Shamora) Williams of Easley, SC; one sister, Eloise McDowell of Louisburg, NC; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nephews, Charles McDowell of North Carolina and Kevin McDowell of Maryland; and a host of other relatives and friends.
