Mr. John Lesley “Les” Durham was born in Greenville County, South Carolina, on July 9, 1952, the only son from the union of the late Deacon John and Lola Durham. “Les” departed this life on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, surrounded by family.
“Les” was known for his love for the Lakers, being a painter for years, keeping up yards throughout the community, telling jokes, singing a song or two, and for his ability to play and teach kids in the community how to play basketball.
Loving memories of him will be cherished by his loving and caring sisters, Gail (Roosevelt) Eaddy of Mauldin, South Carolina, Joan Durham and Vivian (Julius) Baker, both of Greenville, South Carolina; one uncle, Deacon Calvin Durant; two aunts, Mary Neal and Lucille Croft, all of Greenville, South Carolina; five nieces, Monica (Richard) Johnson of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Natasha (Maurice) Sherman of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Fathima (Johnny) Roberts of Charlotte, North Carolina, Alibian Eaddy and Bajeyah Eaddy of Greenville, South Carolina; great-nephews, Quincy Naan, Jr., Joshua and Justice Dennis, Johnny and James Roberts; great-nieces, Raven and Makayla Johnson, and a host of friends, family and the Juanita Butler Community.
