John Herbert

Mr. John Robert “Sarge” Herbert, 86, departed this life on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Richard Campbell Veterans Center in Anderson, South Carolina. He was a son of the late Elisha and Grace Wilson Herbert.
He was formerly employed at the Greenville Country Club and was a member of Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church. He received an associates degree from Greenville Technical College.
Mr. John was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Herbert; and a niece,Edwina Herbert.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are his wife, Mary Herbert of the home; a daughter, Diane (Tony) Wiggins of Helendale, CA; a son, Cedric (Cathy) Herbert of Simpsonville, SC; three grandchildren, Kanzadie Herbert, Lakeisha Greggs and Cedric Herbert; one great-grandchild, Nalani Ceanna Herbert; and a host of other relatives and friends.
